SONY FP Series Batteries compatibility information.
You may be aware that there are some issues regarding compatibility of non-original Sony batteries in some models of Sony camcorder. If you have purchased a camcorder since October 2006 you may have tried other batteries which have been rejected by your camcorder, in this instance the camcorder will often display the error message "Use Infolithium Only" and will not charge the battery. This problem is caused because the data chip in the camcorder is not compatible with the data chip in the battery.
