most models of Sony Camcorder we have a range of batteries
in different capacities which are suitable. Camcorders
are usually supplied with a low capacity standard battery
which does not have a very long run time. Unless
the battery fits inside a battery compartment on your
camcorder you can usually use a higher capacity battery
which will have a longer run time between charges. These
batteries are thicker than the standard battery but
can last several times as long as the standard battery
between charges. If you check the user guide for your
camcorder you will find details of the different types
of battery which are compatible. If you are unsure please

We list the mAh rating of all the batteries we sell,
this is the best measure of the capacity of a battery.
ie. how long it will last between charges. The higher
the figure the longer the run time of the battery.
We do not list battery run times by our batteries as
these can vary widely between one camcorder and another.
Run time is also affected by the use of features such
as the Zoom, LCD screen, Spotlight, Night vision etc...
The voltage of a battery may vary slightly from the
original by 0.1 or 0.2volts but this does not affect
the performance of the battery or the camcorder.
